Our vision

We believe artificial intelligence should benefit society only when its use is understandable, safe, proportionate to its purpose and accompanied by clear accountability.

Our vision is to represent the Slovak community of AI auditors, support professional dialogue and help create conditions for the trustworthy assessment of AI systems.

What we do

SKAUI focuses on developing and standardising methodological approaches to AI audits, assessing and certifying AI audits, and supporting the safe, ethical, transparent and responsible use of AI.

Our approach

We do not view AI audit as a purely technical system check. It is important to understand a system’s purpose, context of use, the quality of its inputs and outputs, possible risks, the human role in decision-making and effects on individuals or organisations.

We support approaches proportionate to a particular system and its level of risk. The aim is not to create formal administration, but to address material questions early and verifiably.

Professional community and membership

Membership in SKAUI is voluntary and open to natural and legal persons who agree with the association’s statutes. Members can participate in the chamber’s activities, propose initiatives and contribute to its objectives.

Admission requires a professional interest in AI audit, a commitment to respect the statutes and recommendations from two existing members.

Governance and transparency

The general assembly is the association’s highest body. The president is its statutory body, represents the association externally and manages its day-to-day activities in line with general assembly decisions.

SKAUI is funded primarily through membership contributions, gifts, grants, income from assets and income from activities that support its objectives.
